Originally from the Southeastern United States, Kendra first discovered her love for travel during a gap year in Scotland. What began as a year abroad turned into a lifelong passion for connecting with people, exploring cultures, and learning through lived experience.

She has lived across three continents and travelled widely, but it was India that became home. Drawn to its diversity, heritage, wildlife, and bustling local markets, she found herself immersed in local communities and eager to share them.

Informal tours for visiting friends grew into Routes & Realms, built on the belief that travel should be meaningful, people-centered, and rooted in culture.

Born and raised in Northern India with family heritage in the South, Kumar has a lifelong passion for exploration and cultural immersion, and a firm belief in the transformative power of travel.

After years travelling and living in other regions of the country, he saw how thoughtfully curated journeys leave a lasting impact, not only on travelers but on the communities they touch.

His approach focuses on uncovering the heart of a place, its people, stories, and landscapes, while fostering genuine connection between travelers and the destinations they explore.
